About The Position
InReach is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Independent Contractor for a female individual with Developmental Disabilities in the Charlotte area (28215). The role involves providing Community Networking Services for approximately 30 hours per week. The DSP will offer companionship, care, and support to help the individual make a difference in their life.
Requirements
- High school diploma (or GED)
- Valid driver's license
- Successfully pass a drug screen and background check
Nice To Haves
- One to two years of experience with the I/DD population
Responsibilities
- Instruction and assistance in home living environments.
- Help individual identify and acquire valued social roles.
- Facilitate community integration.
- Help individual develop healthy social habits.
- Dispense medication and monitoring dosages.
- Transport and accompany individual to and from day programs, work sites, and community activities.
