Direct Support Professional - Independent Contractor (GT)
About The Position
InReach provides a wide variety of services to adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. We need a Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Independent Contractor for a female individual with Developmental Disabilities in the Charlotte area (28209). The role involves providing Community Living and Support and Community Networking Services for 16 hours a week. The schedule is Thursday and Saturday from 7 am to 2 pm. The pay rate is $20.35/hr for CLS and $22.27/hr for CN. This is an Independent Contractor position, meaning contractors receive a 1099 tax form and use a third-party Contract Management vendor for direct deposits. Additional contractor fees include state-required training, Occupational Accident Insurance, and administrative fees for the Contract Management vendor.
Requirements
- High school diploma (or GED)
- Valid driver's license
- Successfully pass a drug screen and background check

- One to two years of experience with the I/DD population
Responsibilities
- Instruction and assistance in home living environments.
- Help individual identify and acquire valued social roles.
- Facilitate community integration.
- Help individual develop healthy social habits.
- Dispense medication and monitoring dosages.
- Transport and accompany individual to and from day programs, work sites, and community activities.
