Direct Support Professional - Independent Contractor (MA)
About The Position
InReach provides a wide variety of services to adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. We are seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Independent Contractor for a female individual with Developmental Disabilities in the Charlotte area (28214). The DSP will provide Day Support services for 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. This role involves instruction and assistance in home living environments, helping the individual identify and acquire valued social roles, facilitating community integration, and helping the individual develop healthy social habits. The DSP will also dispense medication and monitor dosages, and transport and accompany the individual to and from day programs, work sites, and community activities.
Requirements
- High school diploma (or GED)
- Valid driver's license
- Successfully pass a drug screen and background check
Nice To Haves
- One to two years of experience with the I/DD population
