About The Position
InReach provides a wide variety of services to adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. We are seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Independent Contractor for a male individual with Developmental Disabilities in the Charlotte area (28078). The role involves providing Respite and Community Living and Support Services for 28 hours a week. The schedule includes Mondays from 8 AM to 6 PM, and Wednesdays and Fridays from 8 AM to 5 PM. The pay rate is $20.35/hr for Community Living and Support Services (CLS) and $17/hr for Respite.
Requirements
- High school diploma (or GED)
- Valid driver's license
- Successfully pass a drug screen and background check
Nice To Haves
- One to two years of experience with the I/DD population
Responsibilities
- Instruction and assistance in home living environments.
- Help individual identify and acquire valued social roles.
- Facilitate community integration.
- Help individual develop healthy social habits.
- Dispense medication and monitoring dosages.
- Transport and accompany individual to and from day programs, work sites, and community activities.
