About The Position
Wall Residences provides high-quality community services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are currently seeking a part-time, experienced Direct Support Professional (DSP) for our In-Home Care services in the Floyd, Virginia area. This position will be part-time Monday-Friday Evenings.
Requirements
- Active driver’s license with acceptable driving record required that meets the following guidelines: Minimum of 3 years of driving experience, No more than 2 moving violations or accidents within past 3 years, No major violations within past 5 years.
- Detail-oriented
- Pass a criminal background check free of barrier crimes.
- Provide good references.

Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with domestic tasks such as laundry, cleaning, meal planning, cooking, and organizing.
- Help individuals enrich their own lives through exploring volunteer opportunities.
- Support personal care needs.
- Provide transportation.
- Provide any needed advocacy for medical/dental appointments.
- Assist with medication administration.
- Keep accurate notes to ensure continuity of quality care.
