About The Position

Covenant Ability Network of Minnesota (CAN of MN) is hiring full-time Direct Support Professionals in the Hugo/White Bear Lakes, Minnesota area. The organization provides person-centered services to adults with a variety of intellectual disabilities. The role involves working alongside the people served and supporting enrichment through active community and leisure activities, including camping trips, sporting events, and Bible studies. Direct Support Professionals assist individuals with daily living skills, household tasks, personal hygiene, budgeting, and medication administration. They transport and accompany residents to community, recreational, and leisure activities; maintain a safe environment while using behavior management skills; and periodically assist individuals during overnight hours. The position also includes participating in team meetings and collaborating with other healthcare professionals. The position is full-time, with 40 hours per week. Weekday hours are Monday through Friday, 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.; weekend work is scheduled Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Company vehicles are provided. Level II DSP pay is $20.00 per hour on weekdays and $21.00 per hour on weekends.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Valid driver's license.
Must pass a DHS background study.
Experience working with individuals with high behaviors and behavior intervention techniques.
Passion for serving others.

Responsibilities

Assist individuals with daily living skills, household tasks, personal hygiene, budgeting, and medication administration.
Transport and accompany residents to community activities, recreation, and leisure activities.
Provide and maintain a safe environment while implementing behavior management skills.
Assist individuals periodically throughout the overnight shift.
Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to support the care of individuals.
