Requirements
- A relevant work or life experience supporting individuals with disabilities.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with current insurance.
- Ability to travel within the community.
- Ability to successfully complete required background and drug screenings.
- Basic computer skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in disability services, caregiving, education, human services, behavioral health, coaching, or community-based programs is a plus.
- New to DSP work? Your experience in a people-focused role may be transferable. If you’re passionate about helping others, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities
- Support individuals with daily living, personal care, and life skills.
- Encourage independence, choice, confidence, and personal goals.
- Support community outings, recreational activities, volunteer opportunities, and social experiences.
- Help individuals learn new skills and explore new interests.
- Communicate with families, supervisors, and support teams.
- Follow individualized service plans and complete required documentation.
- Help maintain a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment.
