Direct Support Professional I
About The Position
United Disability Services is a not-for-profit agency helping individuals of all abilities in Summit County and surrounding areas reach their full potential through inclusive, life-enriching programs and services. We are looking for Direct Support Professionals to join our team. As a Direct Support Professional with United Disability Services, you will fulfill an instructor/trainer role and be directly involved in the instruction, training, and supervision of the individuals served, while assisting with personal care as needed. You will be helping the individuals served to learn and develop the skills needed to be included in the community.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Must pass a Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI), physical and drug screen.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities is desirable, but we will provide training.
Responsibilities
- Fulfill an instructor/trainer role and be directly involved in the instruction, training, and supervision of the individuals served, while assisting with personal care as needed.
- Help the individuals served to learn and develop the skills needed to be included in the community.
