About The Position

Indera is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work with a nonverbal young boy, 11 years old, in the Syracuse, NY area. The role involves providing 1:1 service to ensure his safety and assist him in developing social skills, learning to complete his ADLs, and teaching him safety skills. The DSP will encourage and assist with overall health, safety, and daily living activities. This position offers flexible hours after school, typically from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM, with potential for weekend hours to be discussed. The role requires approximately 15 hours per week and is a Com Hab service position paying $26 per hour. Requirements

Must have a valid driver's license.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Effective communication and organizational skills required.
Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
Reliable transportation to arrive at the job site at the scheduled time.
Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by Indera's technology policy.
Reliable transportation is required.
A background check, fingerprinting, and DMV record check will be completed prior to hire.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities
