About The Position

Empowered Services provides one-on-one support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in home and community settings. Our team focuses on helping individuals build independence, develop daily living skills, and stay actively engaged in their communities through compassionate, person-centered support. We are currently hiring a dependable and compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide morning support for an adult living in the Portland area. This part-time position is ideal for someone who enjoys creating consistent routines, encouraging independence, and building positive, supportive relationships. You will be supporting an adult who benefits from consistency, encouragement, and patient guidance. They enjoy getting out into the community for shopping and errands and do best with a provider who can help maintain a positive, structured morning routine. This role is a great fit for someone who values relationship-based care and enjoys making a meaningful difference through steady, one-on-one support.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Current auto insurance that meets state requirements
• Ability to pass a background check (not all records are disqualifying)
• Comfortable supporting personal care needs

Nice To Haves

• Experience in caregiving, healthcare, or direct support roles
• Experience supporting individuals with I/DD
• CPR and First Aid certification
