Positions for this posting are located at Whitten Regional Center, an Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF-IID) of BHDD-OIDD located in Clinton, SC serving residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and one (1) year experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities; or an equivalent combination of education and experience (High School Diploma or GED and five (5) years experience, or Associate's Degree and three (3) years experience.)
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, comply with all required regulations and procedures; be a team leader and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to work with individuals who may be physically aggressive or medically fragile.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment, which includes standing, walking, stooping, bending and pulling.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing ICF-IID, as well as directives relevant to an ICF.
  • Computer skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the Direct Support Professional I and II's.
  • Responsible for the supervisory functions of the Direct Support Professional I's and II's.
  • Ensures that all documentation required for the consumers Individual Support Plan (ISP) have been completed and monitors the safety and care of consumers.
  • Ensures Active Treatment for consumers in assigned buildings is implemented by staff.
  • Monitors programs developed by the Interdisciplinary (ID) Team.
  • Monitors completion of behavior data sheets, ISP training programs, and GER (General Event Reports) to ensure all required documentation is entered into THERAP.
  • Monitors Day Programs monthly (i.e. on/off campus).
  • Responsible for reporting significant events and suspected abuse immediately per Agency and Office policy and procedures.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
