Adheres to agency, facility, and Department of Public Health (DPH) rules and regulations, while completing necessary duties. Utilizes decision and problem-solving skills. Receives incoming supplies from food distributors, deliveries and warehouse. Checks deliveries against invoice. Ensures quality, date, and temperature of deliveries meet regulations. Stores supplies when delivered, ensuring stock rotation. Checks to ensure undamaged packaging. Monitors expiration dates. Conducts inventory of dry storage, coolers, and freezer quarterly as determined by the facility. Inventories dry storage, and cleaning supplies yearly as determined by SC State regulations. Maintains an accurate inventory of emergency items. Receives and fills supply requests. Assures the distribution and delivery of supplies as requested to appropriate areas. Utilizes food truck, ATV, trailer, or other transportation to deliver snacks, supplies or food carts. Ensures security of all entrance doors of the department. Monitors and documents temperatures of dry storage, coolers, and freezer. Cleans and maintains sanitation of dry storage, coolers, and freezer. Works in all areas of Food Service as assigned. Completes all assigned duties by end of shift. Ensures hygiene and sanitation according to DPH and Food Service Department Policies. Completes assignments by end of shift. Monitors incoming calls. Conducts residential, food service, and facility food storage area inspections as assigned. In accordance with the State’s Disaster Plan, which includes hazardous weather, employees may be required to work in times of an emergency or disaster. The position for this posting is located at Whitten Regional Center, an Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF-IID) of BHDD-OIDD located in Clinton, SC serving residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
