Direct Support Professional Day Services - WOW North
About The Position
A Direct Support Professional in the WOW program helps promote independence and self-esteem to persons with disabilities by accompanying them into the community on a daily basis. Our Day Services program provides individuals the opportunity to participate in a variety of group activities throughout the day at a site or in the community. Successful candidates will have the ability to interact with our individuals in a positive and encouraging way, possess a professional manner, patience, empathy and a strong desire to help others. An interest in taking an active role by introducing individuals to community-based and site-based activities that inspire growth.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A valid NYS license and clean driving record.
- Computer Skills: able to use email; google suite; database systems
- Daily access to a vehicle.
- Ability to pass SCIP/CPR and be Med Certified
- Ability to Lift 50 lbs
