About The Position
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) Aide, you will provide hands-on support to individuals with developmental disabilities in both day programs and residential settings. Working closely with a team, you will assist with personal care, daily living activities, and community engagement to help individuals achieve their goals and enhance their independence.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to provide person-centered support in a respectful and inclusive way.
Nice To Haves
- Six (6) months experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
- Are bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Have experience using case management systems (Therap preferred).
Responsibilities
- Assisting individuals with personal care, meals, and mobility support.
- Encouraging participation in daily activities and community outings.
- Helping individuals build relationships and develop independence.
- Documenting daily activities and progress using case management software.
