About The Position

Mosaic is seeking Direct Support Professionals to support and guide people as they develop daily living skills and participate in life activities, helping them live as independently as possible. The role involves supporting individual goals, ensuring comfort and safety, and meeting medical, nutritional, and personal care needs. It also includes providing emotional support and assisting with housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry. No experience is needed; thorough training is provided.

Requirements

A desire to make a positive difference in people's lives; no experience is needed, and thorough training is provided.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Valid U.S. driver's license where applicable.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Effective, clear written and verbal communication skills.
Good time management skills and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities while communicating honestly about timelines, challenges, and questions.
Work requires frequent physical activity, including extended periods of standing, walking, and bending, with occasional sitting, kneeling, climbing, stooping, crouching, squatting, and balancing.
Work requires constant reaching between knee and shoulder level, as well as frequent reaching below knee level and overhead.
Work requires occasional independent lifting up to 25 pounds, frequent pushing or pulling up to 40 pounds of force, and the ability to safely transfer 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Assist with developing daily living skills and life activities by creating an environment where people can learn, grow, and discover.
Help people identify and achieve the goals most important to them.
Monitor the comfort and safety of the people served and ensure their medical, nutritional, and personal care needs are met.
Provide emotional support while assisting with general housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry duties.
