About The Position

Leica Geosystems, part of Hexagon, is seeking a Direct Sales Representative for its iCON Trades - Interior Finishing solutions. This is a remote position, ideally based in Texas, and requires the candidate to be within 1 hour of a major airport. The role focuses on developing, maintaining, and managing sales opportunities for Leica Geosystems iCON Trades measuring solutions within the templating, prefabrication, and interior finishing sectors of the building construction industry. Hexagon is a global leader in sensor, software, and autonomous solutions, aiming to boost efficiency, productivity, and quality across various industrial applications.

Requirements

  • Experience in Sales of technology solutions for the building construction industry: focus on glass, stairs, and marine applications.
  • Extensive knowledge of prefabrication, templating and/or interior finishing trades through sales to these channels or working in these trades with experience in measuring technologies.
  • Strong leadership skills including the ability to effectively partner with cross-functional teams, mobilizing people via excellent communication and clear objectives as well as demonstrating commitment to exceeding customer expectations.
  • Strong presentation skills especially to groups and forums of customers.
  • An aptitude for developing sales plans and strategies to succeed.
  • Advanced skills in developing and maintaining strong strategic relationships.
  • A passion for superior product delivery and customer service as well as an appreciation for the need for a positive end-user experience.
  • Keen interest in technology, preferred experience in templating and layout measuring technologies.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a high level of personal drive and self-motivation.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of an international team.
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout the Western US approximately 60% of the time (up to but not to exceed 70% depending on business needs).
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office suite of software.
  • SAP-experience and knowledge.
  • Salesforce (ideal) or other CRM.
  • Prefer knowledge in CAD software.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze the potential of different segments in the templating, prefabrication, layout, and interior finishing markets and develop strategy & tactics to acquire new channel partners and customers.
  • Develop and implement sales plans with new and existing accounts, and grow customer satisfaction across the region with the goal of driving sustainable and profitable growth.
  • Sell directly to large national accounts including CNC Machining end-users and Interior Finishing experts. Focus will be on glass, stairs, and marine applications.
  • Support and collaborate closely with CNC manufacturer’s sales and technical teams to sell Leica’s 3D Measuring Solutions to their key accounts and through their dealer networks.
  • Develop a network of specialized dealers distributing Leica’s iCON Trades Measuring solutions to small and medium size accounts including CNC Machining end-users and Interior Finishing experts.
  • Develop, stimulate, and support collaborative and mutually beneficial relationships with 3D Software vendors in order to generate new leads in the Interior Design and Interior Finishing spaces.
  • Attend and leverage Leica Geosystems presence at vertical industry trade shows.
  • Develop and nurture close working relationships with trade associations to increase awareness of Leica’s iCON Trades measuring solutions.
  • Accurately forecast and update monthly/quarterly sales numbers.
  • Leverage Salesforce, CRM experience is a plus.
  • Identify and propose new portfolio and/or business model solutions with an eye towards growing market share.
  • Support marketing activities including campaigns and exhibitions.
  • Monitor, document and report competitor developments and activities.
  • Provide technical and sales training and demonstration to partners and customers, working closely with sales engineers for each vertical.
  • Provide technical and sales support to regional teams.
  • Develop short & midterm growth plan for strategic accounts, both direct and indirect.
  • Execute the plan to achieve sales goals.
