About The Position

The Direct Sales Agent Specialist drives profitable growth by generating new business, cross-selling to existing customers, and building lasting customer relationships. The role involves understanding customer needs, providing tailored insurance solutions, and maintaining a strong book of business. The agent sells to local customers in person and by phone, and supports growth through community involvement, relationship building, and outside marketing efforts. Compensation includes a base hourly rate and may include incentive pay such as commissions and bonuses based on individual and team performance.

Requirements

0–2 years of experience.
P&C licensing is preferred; otherwise, attain the required licensure within 90 days of joining the company.
Skills in active learning, active listening, understanding business rules, communication, cooperation, customer service, reliability, professional integrity, sales, and time management.

Responsibilities

Achieve sales goals through new business, cross-selling, and customer retention.
Build and maintain a consistent pipeline through local lead generation and referrals.
Develop community relationships with dealerships, event organizers, local partners, and others to support business growth.
Conduct outbound prospecting and follow up with leads to convert opportunities into sales.
Partner with leadership to support sales and local marketing initiatives.
Stay informed about products, underwriting guidelines, and market competition.
Deliver results in line with performance standards, compliance requirements, and customer experience expectations.
