About The Position

The Direct Sales Agent Specialist drives profitable growth by generating new business, cross-selling to existing customers, and building lasting customer relationships. The role involves understanding customer needs, delivering tailored insurance solutions, and maintaining a strong book of business. The agent sells to local customers in person and over the phone, while supporting growth through community involvement, relationship building, and outside marketing efforts. The position offers a base hourly rate plus uncapped monthly incentives. Total compensation may include commissions and bonuses based on individual and team performance.

Requirements

0–2 years of experience.
Obtain required licensure within 90 days of joining the company if not already licensed.
Active learning, active listening, business rules, communication, cooperation, customer service, high reliability, professional integrity, sales, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

Achieve sales goals through new business, cross-selling, and customer retention.
Build and maintain a consistent sales pipeline through local lead generation and referrals.
Develop community relationships, including with dealerships, event organizers, and local partners, to support business growth.
Conduct outbound prospecting and follow up with potential customers to convert opportunities into sales.
Partner with leadership to support sales and local marketing initiatives.
Stay informed about products, underwriting guidelines, and market competition.
Deliver results in line with performance standards, compliance requirements, and customer experience expectations.
