About The Position

The company is seeking a Direct Response Copywriter who can write copy that sells, not just sounds good. This role is responsible for the entire funnel journey, from the initial advertisement to the final purchase. The ideal candidate will understand the psychology behind purchasing decisions and be able to craft compelling narratives that build authority and trust. The company has grown rapidly and is looking to scale its annual revenue significantly, requiring innovative approaches to reach new customers and convince them to buy.

Requirements

  • Approximately 3 years of experience as a Copywriter in marketing (product descriptions, website copy, etc.).
  • Excellent German and English language skills.
  • Previous experience as a Creative Strategist, Media Buyer, or Copywriter (or a combination).
  • Thorough research skills, creative writing ability, and understanding of the psychology behind purchasing decisions.
  • Basic understanding of media buying and how Facebook Ads function.
  • Solid computer skills.
  • A work sample or portfolio (e.g., listicles, own ad copy) must be submitted with the application.

  • Experience writing in industries with a strong direct-response tradition.

Responsibilities

  • Write advertisements, product descriptions, and website copy that sell throughout the entire customer journey.
  • Understand performance marketing as psychology, persuading customers both emotionally and rationally.
  • Build authority and trust through copy, utilizing social proof and potential industry endorsements.
  • Develop new content funnel formats such as advertorials, listicles, and native ads, with a call-to-action following an informative piece.
  • Create relatable storytelling around the company's unique selling proposition (USP).
  • Reduce purchase barriers on the website by incorporating trust elements (e.g., Klarna, PayPal).
  • Deeply understand the needs of the target audience and consistently write in the brand's voice.
  • Understand the fundamentals of how Facebook Ads work and think like a potential customer, even if not executing media buying directly.
