About The Position

The Direct Form Operator is responsible for operating precision manufacturing equipment to produce high-performance components used in critical applications such as aerospace and transportation. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational discipline while working in a team-oriented, fast-paced production environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
Basic math skills including measurement to thousandths and decimals
Ability to read and comprehend graphs, charts & tables
Mechanical aptitude using hand and power tools
Basic computer skills (Excel, Outlook, data entry)
Ability to follow written instructions and procedures

Nice To Haves

Experience with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
Manufacturing or skilled trades experience
Experience with powdered metal or resin presses
Understanding of SPC and process monitoring

Responsibilities

Operate press lines, sintering ovens, and tumbling equipment to meet production and quality requirements while maintaining local and corporate safety standards.
Perform in-process inspections and accurately record part dimensions per quality plans and customer specifications
Identify and troubleshoot nonconforming parts and support root cause resolution
Maintain process control through adherence to standard work and inspection requirements
Remove scrap material and maintain a clean and safe work environment
Accurately report production counts, labor, and required documentation
Perform basic equipment care and minor maintenance as needed
