Direct Care Worker
About The Position
Pathlight Community Services is hiring Direct Care Workers in Jackson, Michigan. The organization supports adults with developmental disabilities and mental illness through safe, supportive housing and life-enhancing services. Direct Care Workers support residents in a small group home, assist with personal care and daily living tasks, prepare and serve meals, administer medications after training, and participate in activities and community outings with residents. The role requires a valid driver's license and availability for second- and third-shift work. Starting pay is $17.13 per hour, increasing to $17.33 per hour after training is completed. Benefits are described as conditional: employees who later transition into a full-time role become eligible for the listed benefits package.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Availability for second- and third-shift work.
