About The Position
Alternative Services, Inc. (ASI) is seeking compassionate and genuine individuals to join their team as Direct Care Workers/Direct Support Professionals. ASI has been a leader in the industry for over 47 years, dedicated to supporting people with disabilities to live meaningful lives. This role involves working in a small group home setting (Adult Foster Care home) and providing 24-hour care, 365 days a year. Requirements
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Possess a valid Michigan Driver's license.
- Possess excellent moral character.
- No experience necessary.
Responsibilities
- Assisting individuals with disabilities in a variety of daily living activities.
- Providing personal care, including hygiene, basic health, and administering medication.
- Performing cleaning, cooking, and shopping duties.
- Serving as an advocate and role model in all interactions with persons served.
- Supporting individuals as they participate in leisure activities, both at home and in the community.
- Respecting the rights, dignity, property, and privacy of persons served.
