About The Position

Dependable Health Services is seeking an organized, dependable, and community-focused Direct Care Worker (DCW) Coordinator to support our Direct Care Worker Program in Nogales and surrounding communities. This full-time position is an important connection between our clients, Direct Care Workers, clinical team, and case management partners. The DCW Coordinator helps ensure caregivers are properly supported, schedules are maintained, documentation is accurate, and clients receive services according to their authorized plans of care. We're looking for someone who communicates well, stays organized, and enjoys building strong relationships with both employees and the community.

  • Ability to participate in on-call responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with ALTCS, DDD, Direct Care Worker programs, home care, home health, or healthcare coordination is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate DCW schedules, availability, client assignments, and staffing needs.
  • Communicate schedule changes and program updates promptly.
  • Build positive, professional relationships with Direct Care Workers and serve as a resource for day-to-day questions and concerns.
  • Assist with recruiting, hiring, orientation, training, testing, and competency requirements.
  • Provide ongoing support, coaching, and counseling to DCW staff as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate caregiver schedules and assist with appropriate staffing coverage.
  • Review timesheets for accuracy and timely submission.
  • Complete payroll-related data entry accurately and within established deadlines.
  • Assist with resolving scheduling, attendance, and timekeeping discrepancies.
  • Work closely with the Clinical Supervisor to coordinate staff assignments and appropriate in-home oversight.
  • Maintain an accurate client census and current service authorizations.
  • Monitor services to ensure care remains within authorized hours and service parameters.
  • Communicate and participate in conferences with ALTCS case management as needed.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with referral sources, case managers, clients, caregivers, and community partners.
  • Maintain accurate records of DCW training, testing, and competencies.
  • Help ensure compliance with applicable Direct Care Worker Training and Testing requirements.
  • Complete and submit required Non-Provision of Services Logs to ALTCS/DDD within established timeframes.
  • Maintain organized and accurate program documentation.
  • Assist with billing and care-management processes through accurate and timely data entry.
  • Maintain program information necessary for operational and compliance reporting.
  • Assist with other DCW Program responsibilities as assigned.
  • Participate in on-call coverage outside regular business hours as needed to address client, caregiver, and program needs.
