About The Position

Dependable Health Services is seeking an organized, dependable, and people-focused Direct Care Worker (DCW) Coordinator to support our Direct Care Worker Program in Tucson and surrounding communities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, coordinating schedules, keeping programs organized, and making sure both clients and caregivers receive the support they need. The DCW Coordinator plays an important role in the day-to-day success of the program by supporting our Direct Care Workers, collaborating with clinical staff, and helping ensure services meet ALTCS/DDD requirements and authorization guidelines.

  • Experience with employee scheduling, timekeeping, payroll, or workforce coordination.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and meet required deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with caregivers, clients, clinical staff, case managers, and community partners.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment and adjusting to changing staffing needs.
  • Ability to participate in on-call responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with ALTCS, DDD, Direct Care Worker programs, home care, home health, or healthcare coordination is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate DCW schedules, availability, and client assignments.
  • Communicate schedule changes and program updates promptly.
  • Serve as a resource and point of contact for Direct Care Workers.
  • Assist with hiring, orientation, training, competency requirements, and ongoing support of DCW staff.
  • Provide coaching and counseling when appropriate.
  • Track DCW schedules and ensure appropriate staffing coverage.
  • Review timesheets for accuracy and timely submission.
  • Complete payroll-related data entry accurately and on time.
  • Help resolve scheduling and timekeeping discrepancies.
  • Partner with the Clinical Supervisor to coordinate staff assignments and appropriate in-home oversight.
  • Maintain an accurate client census and current service authorizations.
  • Monitor services to help ensure care is provided within authorized hours and service parameters.
  • Participate in communication and conferences with ALTCS case management as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of DCW training, testing, and competencies.
  • Help ensure compliance with applicable Direct Care Worker Training and Testing requirements.
  • Complete and submit required Non-Provision of Services Logs to ALTCS/DDD within established timeframes.
  • Maintain organized and accurate program documentation.
  • Support billing and care-management processes through accurate and timely data entry.
  • Maintain program information needed for operational and compliance reporting.
  • Complete additional duties related to the DCW Program as assigned.
  • Participate in on-call coverage outside of regular business hours as needed to support clients, caregivers, and program operations.
