Please Note: Not an office position Being a Program Supervisor at our facility will give you an opportunity to grow your professional skills... We are seeking Program Supervisors to oversee operations in our Psychiatric Residential Intensive Treatment Program (PRTF), dedicated to our adolescent clients , ages 10-21. Program Supervisors oversee, support, supervise and act as a resource to direct support staff and individuals served. Administrative tasks are also required as needed. Devereux Georgia was established in Cobb County Georgia in 1973 at the invitation of Governor Jimmy Carter and for more than 40 years has been providing new hopes, new dreams, and new choices for children, adolescents and young adults struggling with emotional and behavioral health challenges. Our beautiful campus offers a serene, wooded setting with a swimming pool, volleyball court, tennis court, playing field, lake and playground which allow our youth to enjoy plenty of outdoor activities. Devereux has a zero-tolerance policy for abuse and maintains policies and procedures to systematically reduce the risk of abuse to occur in our organization. Devereux fosters a culture of reporting abuse and will cooperate with the authorities to the fullest extent possible.

Requirements

• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; leadership, relationship management, and multi-tasking skills are required.
• Strong technical skills and ability to utilize in-house computer applications.
• Have a strong passion for working with and helping children living with emotional and behavioral differences.
• Valid Driver's License and Satisfactory Drug Screen and Background Check results.
• On-call, weekend availability and some holidays required.
• Must be able to complete a two-week, paid new hire orientation class; hours are approximately 8:30am to 5:30pm daily.

• Experience supervising others and proven success in the oversight of operations to ensure quality programming, regulatory compliance, adherence to policy and procedures and training/mentoring staff.
• Direct care experience with the I/DD (intellectual/developmental disabilities) population, specifically children and adolescents preferred.
• Be empathetic, a team player, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, energetic, creative, understand the theories of behavior management and positive reinforcement, and represent yourself as a positive role model.

Responsibilities

• Providing quality care and motivation to the children and adolescents we service.
• Supervising Direct Support Professionals and providing mentorship.
• Implementing programs designed to meet the social, emotional, physical and personal needs of clients.
• Assisting, supporting and instructing individuals in self-help skills designed to encourage independence.
• Establishing and maintaining a therapeutic rapport with individuals.
• Oversee operations in our Psychiatric Residential Intensive Treatment Program (PRTF), dedicated to our adolescent clients , ages 10-21.
• Oversee, support, supervise and act as a resource to direct support staff and individuals served.
• Administrative tasks are also required as needed.
