About The Position

The Director of Corporate Relations & Advancement Operations is a key representative for The Mint Museum, responsible for cultivating and soliciting corporate donors and managing the Corporate Leadership Circle (CLC) membership program. This role involves developing strategies to increase contributed revenue, overseeing donor database management, and collaborating with the Chief Advancement Officer on fundraising goals. The position also requires managing and mentoring development staff, coordinating with the Accounting department for financial reporting, and ensuring the accuracy of donor contributions and restricted gift reporting.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years’ experience leading successful fundraising teams.

  • Direct experience in database design and database management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Proven track record in fundraising and knowledge of fundraising best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key representative for The Mint Museum and advocate for its mission.
  • Identify, communicate with, cultivate, solicit, and steward current donors and prospects, with an emphasis on the corporate sector.
  • Reinvigorate, refresh, and re-launch the Corporate Leadership Circle (CLC) membership program.
  • Supervise, mentor, support, and lead development staff.
  • Collaborate closely with the Chief Advancement Officer to set annual fundraising goals.
  • Craft strategies to sustain and increase contributed revenue from various sources.
  • Oversee all financial, statistical, and demographic reporting for Advancement activity.
  • Manage all Advancement moves-management initiatives, donor segmenting, and donor strategies.
  • Hold direct responsibility for all donor base software and information systems services.
  • Establish strategies and plans for the maintenance, use, and ongoing development of the museum’s information systems for donor management.
  • Coordinate and lead the regular reconciliation process with the Accounting department.
  • Partner with Accounting staff to validate data in financial reports.
  • Provide date-related support for institutional financial documents.
  • Oversee and validate all reporting on restricted gifts.
