About The Position

This Director role is a senior integration leader who drives business value across Digital Workplace products — spanning productivity, endpoint, voice, and collaboration platforms — with a primary focus on leading end-to-end M&A integration execution. From sign-to-close through post-close stabilization, this leader owns the sequenced, cohesive, and user-centric integration experience that brings acquired entities into alignment with enterprise standards and strategy. By bridging target-state technology, process, and change management, this role translates business needs and M&A objectives into clear integration plans that accelerate productivity, reduce friction, and improve adoption. The dedicated M&A focus enables the organization to deliver integration programs more efficiently while allowing product teams to remain concentrated on their roadmaps, lifecycle priorities, and operational demands.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field — or equivalent work experience.
  • 10–15 years of progressive IT and business/industry experience, with demonstrated expertise in digital workplace technologies and services.
  • Proven M&A integration experience — candidates must bring direct, hands-on experience leading technology integrations through acquisition lifecycles, including sign-to-close and post-close stabilization.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage teams, build cross-functional relationships, and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Track record of launching and delivering IT projects and integration programs on time and within budget.
  • M&A Integration Expertise — Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional technology integrations in an acquisition environment, balancing speed with quality and business continuity.
  • Strategic Acumen — Deep understanding of business strategy with the ability to translate strategy into system, technology, and integration solutions that drive measurable outcomes.
  • Hands-On Leadership — Proven experience working in large-scale environments, optimizing business processes to support growth, productivity, and seamless integration of acquired entities.
  • Change Leadership — Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity, take calculated risks, and drive continuous improvement — especially during periods of organizational transition.
  • Organizational Development — Experience building successful teams and delivering results through improved customer satisfaction, lower production costs, and high levels of employee engagement.
  • Communication & Influence — Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with customers, associates, and executive leadership; strong interpersonal and teamwork skills essential for navigating M&A stakeholder landscapes.
  • Executive Presence & Presentation Skills — Ability to present strategies, integration plans, and technical information in a manner that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains alignment.
  • Vendor & Partner Management — Ability to establish solid vendor relationships, negotiate effectively, and manage third parties against deliverables — particularly as vendor ecosystems evolve through acquisitions.
  • Program & Project Management — Solid skills including the ability to deploy resources and manage multiple projects of diverse scope in a cross-functional, fast-paced integration environment.
  • Technical Foundations — Knowledge of key technology standards around ITIL, service delivery, and digital workplace platforms (endpoint management, collaboration tools, voice/UC technologies).

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end M&A integration execution for Digital Workplace Services, with primary ownership from sign-to-close through post-close delivery and stabilization.
  • Partner with pre-deal and strategy teams to ensure early alignment and readiness, transitioning seamlessly into hands-on integration leadership once acquisitions move into execution phases.
  • Drive the integration of digital workplace capabilities across acquired entities — including collaboration platforms, endpoint environments, and related workplace technologies.
  • Translate M&A objectives into clear execution plans, messaging, and priorities, aligning peers and senior leaders throughout the integration lifecycle.
  • Anticipate integration risks, dependencies, and change impacts by leveraging deep M&A experience, proactively addressing them during transition periods.
  • Partner with peers to balance M&A execution demands with ongoing service delivery, ensuring integration outcomes meet enterprise standards for digital workplace experience and performance.
  • Coordinate across domains and stakeholders to ensure M&A initiatives are delivered with speed, clarity, and minimal business disruption.
  • Work with internal and external customers to understand business needs and contribute to the development and evolution of IT strategy.
  • Manage the development and implementation of IT initiatives — including those arising from acquisitions — to support broader business strategy.
  • Collaborate with division directors and key stakeholders to coordinate and align objectives and functions across multiple functional areas.
  • Provide a strong leadership presence during M&A activities, demonstrating exceptional organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal partners to discern business trends, surface opportunities, and approach issues with a win/win mindset.
  • Seek opportunities to contribute to positive outcomes for clients, stakeholders, and organizational members — particularly during periods of transition.
  • Participate in the development and management of IT service and integration budgets, ensuring high-quality services are delivered at optimal cost.
  • Provide advice and counsel on M&A vendor relationships, contract development, and service-provider performance — especially as vendor landscapes shift through acquisitions.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and standards across both steady-state and integration environments.
  • Generate appropriate communication, process, and educational plans that mitigate the disruption of change — critical during M&A transitions.
  • Identify and remove obstacles to change while supporting an environment of open, upward communication across all staff.
  • Communicate organizational and integration information through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, and other vehicles to maintain positive morale and transparency.
  • Meet regularly with team members to discuss work progress, obstacles, and priorities; provide advice, guidance, encouragement, and constructive feedback.
  • Establish measurable individual and team objectives aligned with business, organizational, and integration goals.
  • Identify the roles, skills, and knowledge required to support both ongoing operations and M&A initiatives; ensure staff has the resources and skills needed across all work streams.
  • Implement organizational practices for staffing, EEO, diversity, performance management, career development, training, recognition, and retention.
  • Provide input for the identification and development of potential future leaders.
