This position provides overall leadership and management for daily facilities operations, building use, and functional readiness of college-controlled facilities. The role involves establishing and implementing facilities operations practices, procedures, and service standards to ensure safe, efficient, and effective use of college facilities. It includes overseeing and coordinating maintenance, repair, and building systems support, planning and directing facilities-related programs, and providing input on facility decisions balancing preservation with contemporary requirements. The role also translates college strategic objectives into facilities and space operational plans, leads college-level coordination of space utilization, supports long-range space and facilities planning, and coordinates renovation projects. Additionally, it involves establishing and overseeing policies for key and card access, providing oversight for locker operations, setting standards for room scheduling and support, and providing operational leadership for college-sponsored and non-college events. The position serves as the Building Emergency Coordinator, leading facility-related emergency management planning and coordinating communication for outages and disruptions. It also oversees the college’s reserved parking program, state vehicle program, and coordinates logistical support for moves and deliveries. Finally, the role directs and supervises departmental facilities operations staff, formulates and monitors the operating budget, develops and refines policies and procedures, tracks and analyzes trends, builds collaborative partnerships, and participates in professional development activities.
