About The Position

Depending on your location within the continental US, this role may be hybrid or remote. If you live within 50 miles of the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be hybrid, meaning you will be expected to work in the office for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership. If you live more than 50 miles from the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be remote, meaning you will be expected to work from your home, within the continental US. If the role is remote, there may be occasions that you are requested to come to the office based on business need. Any requests to come to the office would be communicated with you in advance.

Requirements

  • Experience in Life, Disability, and Absence management products.
  • Works well managing multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Excellent leadership skills and track record of influencing positive outcomes in business.
  • Ability to engage with business owners and decision makers; experience with 'C' level engagement.
  • Team player who can gain the support, confidence and commitment of internal and external Stakeholders.
  • Proven experience of presenting, influencing, and negotiating with clients and colleagues at the senior level.
  • Demonstrated success in managing key brokers/consultants.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation, organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated customer relationship acumen.
  • Strong knowledge of underwriting principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of salesforce CRM systems and processes.
  • Bachelor's Degree Business Administration or a related field
  • 10 years of professional job-related work experience, 5 years management experience.
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Nice To Haves

  • 5 or more years’ experience in customer implementation, project management in the disability industry (strongly preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Directs, leads and mentors the client implementation team providing guidance, support and professional development opportunities.
  • Defines strategic goals and objectives aligning with overall business objectives and driving initiatives to achieve them.
  • Overall responsibility for cultivating excellent relationships with customers and industry broker partners.
  • Establishes credibility as a trusted advisor to our clients, linking their strategic business issues to current and future product offerings.
  • Contributes to the growth of the company, working with the executive team to anticipate future demands and priorities.
  • Collaborates with sales to identify up-sell/cross-sell opportunities; builds re-enrollment strategies for clients.
  • Develops and implements best practices, processes, and tools to streamline the implementation process and enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Creates and enforces strategies that will help meet the needs of customers.
  • Identifies and analyzes customer preferences to properly direct organizational initiatives.
  • Oversees competitor analysis and research to ensure knowledge-based decision making in customer implementation.
  • Delivers financial results aligned with agreed upon team/department budgets, revenue and profit targets.
  • Supports thinking and direction setting on new product needs, and identification of potential partnerships and process development.
  • Drives innovation and continuous improvement within the client implementation function, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Builds, develops, guides, and nurtures a high-performance, results focused team; Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Organizes and oversees the schedules and performance of the team.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
