About The Position

The Dining Services Associate performs a variety of resident food service functions, including patient meal service, food preparation and assembly, and maintaining sanitation standards for the department and assigned position. The role is per diem and provides coverage for days, evenings, and weekends at Masonicare Health Center in Wallingford, Connecticut. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or GED.
On-the-job training; no prior experience is specified.
Ability to read, write, and comprehend basic instructions in English.
Ability to work in a team setting, meet deadlines, and follow processes.

Responsibilities

Assess unit service needs for food, paper, dishware, sanitation, and overall cleanliness.
Pick up non-food supplies, diet lists, menus, and meal tickets, and restock cabinets.
Pick up food supplies, set up service areas, take temperatures, and record them.
Serve resident meals according to meal orders taken by CNAs.
Clean service areas, utensils, trash, and service carts after each meal.
Return soiled items and unused food to the dish room after each meal.
Clean and sanitize service items by following the dish machine process after each meal.
Return serving utensils, pans, and pots to the appropriate unit after each meal.
Inventory items needed for the next shift and place the list in the unit mailbox in the kitchen.
Complete the unit sanitation checklist and give it to the supervisor before leaving for the day.
Perform other duties as assigned.
