About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Dining Room Manager for The Rushwood Senior Living community in Wichita, Kansas. This full-time position involves ensuring the dining room is immaculate and providing impeccable service to residents. The role requires a welcoming and engaging presence, preparation for meal services, maintaining cleanliness, and observing resident dining habits. The ideal candidate will be at least eighteen years old, possess previous experience leading a hospitality team, and have knowledge of resident care requirements. A food server permit is mandatory, along with strong English communication skills. The role demands a positive and energetic attitude, the ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day, and the capacity to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds. Physical and mental capability to perform tasks, including assisting residents, is essential, and will be verified by a health screening. Criminal clearance is also required.

Requirements

Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
Knowledge of the requirements for providing care and supervision appropriate to the residents.
Must have and maintain a food server permit as required by the county.
Can read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
Must have the ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting people after a fall.
Must be criminally cleared.
Be in good health and physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks.
Good physical health shall be verified by a health screening performed by a physician not more than six (6) months prior to or seven (7) days following employment.
Must test free from pulmonary tuberculosis at time of health screening.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience leading a hospitality team preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensuring the dining room looks and stays perfect and the service residents receive is impeccable.
Greeting residents and making them feel welcome, being present in the dining room, mingling, entertaining, and fostering an environment where residents can connect.
Preparing tables for service, salads for the next meal, or rolling silverware.
Bussing tables and sweeping floors.
Communicating with supervisors and Wellness when poor dietary habits or unusual changes in appetite are observed, as well as when residents are absent from meals.
