About The Position

At Main Event, Dining Hosts guide guests through their dining experience and support the overall dining room and bar experience. They greet and seat guests, communicate regularly with servers, server assistants, and managers, and uphold high standards for safety and sanitation. The role includes welcoming guests, managing tables and the waitlist, supporting a smooth guest experience, and completing opening, mid-day, or closing duties.

Requirements

• Have a guest-focused mindset.
• Work effectively as part of a team.
• Obtain a Food Handlers Certification, as required.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving and multitasking skills.
• Communicate effectively with management, team members, and guests.
• Show attention to detail and comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
• Be available to work days, nights, and/or weekends.

• Prior food and beverage experience.

Responsibilities

• Uphold cleanliness and safety standards.
• Welcome and greet dining guests while gathering details about their visit.
• Manage tables and keep the waitlist updated.
• Seat guests or hand them off to another host.
• Communicate with servers and guests, including through table touches, to ensure a seamless experience.
• Thank guests for visiting and welcome them back.
• Perform opening, mid-day, or closing duties.
