About The Position

Southern Foodservice Management is seeking an Evening Shift Dining Facility Attendant for their location at Fort Lee. This role involves a variety of cleaning and sanitation duties to ensure the dining facility operates smoothly and meets Army Standards. The position requires availability for a rotating schedule in a seven-day-per-week operation, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Requirements

  • Lift up to 20lbs.
  • Standing 70%, walking 30%.
  • Frequent movement of objects.
  • Occasional heavy lifting, heavy carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, or balancing.

  • Frequent temperature variation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform cleaning duties as assigned by the cleaning schedule, including sweeping, mopping, wiping, scrubbing, polishing, and washing.
  • Sort and replenish silverware, china, glassware, and smallwares.
  • Wash all pots, pans, utensils, plates, bowls, forks, knives, and spoons.
  • Operate the dish machine properly to maintain flow according to Army Standards.
  • Handle chemicals safely according to MSDS and Southern Safety protocols.
  • Comply with Workplace Safety Standards and protocols.
  • Empty trash receptacles and remove trash.
  • Maintain general cleanliness of the facility, both inside and outside, as per the cleaning schedule.
  • Perform salting, ice removal, and maintain the safety of walkways during winter conditions.
  • Re-stock food service utensils and equipment, and maintain service area cleanliness.
  • Properly clean areas used and equipment.
  • Take any required temperature record logs.
  • Conduct duties in an orderly and professional manner, adhering to the Southern Foodservice Code of Conduct.
  • Follow all Company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties or tasks assigned by Assistant Managers or Supervisors to support meal production, service, cleaning, or the dining facility.
  • Adhere to daily employee hygiene standards, including wearing assigned uniforms, hair restraints, and using disposable gloves.
  • Ensure fingernails are short and clean, avoid loose hanging jewelry, and follow proper hand washing techniques.
  • Follow daily sanitation requirements for mop storage, towel usage, and date labeling for stored items.
