About The Position

Southern Foodservice Management is seeking a Morning Shift Dining Facility Attendant for their location at Fort Lee. This role involves maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dining facility, ensuring all sanitation standards are met, and supporting various operational needs. The position requires availability for a rotating schedule in a seven-day-per-week operation, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Standing 70%, walking 30%.
  • Frequent movement of objects.
  • Occasional heavy lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, or balancing.
  • Frequent stooping.
  • Frequent reaching.
  • Frequent handling.
  • Frequent talking/hearing.
  • Frequent seeing.
  • Frequent exposure to temperature variations.
  • Must be available to work a rotating schedule in a seven-day-per-week operation, including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Wear assigned uniforms; uniforms are to be clean and properly maintained with name badges and government IDs.
  • Wear hairnets or other hair restraint in foodservice places when in food production or serving areas.
  • May not work with food with exposed boils or infected cuts, abrasions, or burns.
  • May not work with acute respiratory illness and cannot work with contagious illness.
  • Use disposable gloves and change them per guidelines.
  • Smoking only in designated areas.
  • Fingernails must be short and clean.
  • Not wearing loose hanging jewelry.
  • Trained on proper hand washing techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, wiping, scrubbing, polishing, and washing as per the cleaning schedule.
  • Sort and replenish silverware, china, glassware, and smallwares.
  • Wash pots, pans, utensils, plates, bowls, forks, knives, and spoons.
  • Operate the dish machine correctly to maintain flow according to Army Standards.
  • Handle chemicals properly according to MSDS and Southern Safety protocols.
  • Comply with Workplace Safety Standards and protocols.
  • Empty trash receptacles and remove trash.
  • Maintain general cleanliness of the facility, inside and outside, as assigned.
  • Perform salting, ice removal, and maintain the safety of walkways during winter conditions.
  • Re-stock food service utensils and equipment, and maintain service area cleanliness.
  • Properly clean areas used and equipment.
  • Take required temperature record logs.
  • Conduct duties in an orderly and professional manner, adhering to Southern Foodservice Code of Conduct.
  • Follow all Company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties assigned by Assistant Managers or Supervisors, which may include supporting meal production, service, and cleaning.
  • Ensure employee hygiene standards are met, including wearing assigned uniforms, hair restraints, and gloves, and maintaining short, clean fingernails.
  • Adhere to sanitation requirements for mop use, towel storage, and date labeling for stored food items.
