About The Position

Skills Inc., a major aerospace supplier in Washington State, is seeking an experienced Dimensional Inspector to join their growing team. This role involves conducting dimensional inspections of machined parts for both aerospace and commercial clients. The company is a self-funded non-profit with a social mission to train, employ, and serve individuals with disabilities and the wider community.

Requirements

Ability to read, write, communicate, and/or follow written and verbal instructions in English.
Ability to communicate in English through voice, American Sign Language, or adaptive technology.
Must be a US Person as defined by ITAR regulations (US citizen, lawful permanent legal resident, or admitted as a refugee or asylee).

Nice To Haves

Thorough understanding of aerospace and commercial drawings, parts lists, and associated documents.
Familiarity with aerospace requirements for assembly components and assembly procedures.
Familiarity with Boeing Aerospace Company specifications.
Experience using aerospace dimensional inspection and measuring equipment.
Basic familiarity with Windows-based PCs and related applications, especially MS Office.
Knowledge of and ability to apply basic mathematical skills to the work environment.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Responsibilities

Assure machined/assembled/formed parts meet the drawing, document, and customer requirements.
Perform dimensional inspection of assemblies and components, adhering to aircraft hardware standards.
Conduct first part and in-process inspections at the shop floor level.
Develop a working knowledge of Skills' Quality system and related procedures.
Demonstrate a working knowledge of non-conforming materials and procedures.
