Requirements

• An associate degree in a related field, or equivalent experience in quality and supervision.
• At least five years of experience in dimensional inspection and CMM programming.
• Solid working knowledge of GD&T per ANSI Y14.5.
• Demonstrated leadership ability in managing technical teams, mentoring, coaching, and communicating effectively.
• Experience staffing and developing personnel within a technical or manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of SPC and quality tools.
• Strong communication skills across all levels of the organization.
• The ability to obtain a DOE Q‑level security clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Experience programming and operating Zeiss CMMs using Calypso software.
• Background in high‑precision metal forming, machining, or finishing processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of dimensional inspectors, ensuring high‑quality product inspections and accurate release decisions.
• Coordinate cross‑functional inspection activities.
• Verify documentation and certifications.
• Maintain data accuracy within ERP systems.
• Oversee CMM calibration and performance.
• Guide inspectors in managing nonconforming conditions and corrective actions.
• Support ongoing training and development for the team.
• Drive quality improvement initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to streamline inspection processes.
• Participate in audits.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety and quality management system requirements.
