V2X is seeking a Quality Inspection Supervisor for our Indianapolis, IN, location. The Quality Inspection Supervisor will lead daily inspection operations across Receiving, Mechanical, and Electrical Inspection/Test areas. This role serves as a key interface between inspection personnel, quality engineering, production, program management, and external customers to ensure compliance with internal procedures, customer requirements, and applicable standards. The Quality Inspection Supervisor is responsible for directing inspection activities, managing workflow and priorities, developing and training inspectors, and ensuring adherence to Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) rules. This position also supports audits, continuous improvement initiatives, and cross‑functional problem solving. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in inspection processes, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years supervising employees/relevant experience, OR an Advanced Degree with minimum 3 years supervising employees/relevant experience.
  • Ability to manager diverse groups of people and build high performance teams
  • Experience advising customers on internal, external or regulatory requirements
  • Experience with problem‑solving tools and process improvement tools
  • U.S. Government Security Clearance - ability to obtain and maintain
  • United States of America citizenship (required)

Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily inspection operations and provide direction, scheduling, and support to inspection personnel
  • Departmental operations oversite and development including inspectors’ procedures and regulations training
  • Assist inspectors and customers with incoming material issues and coordinate resolution activities
  • Evaluate workload and staffing to ensure adequate manning and operational efficiency
  • Collaborate, and advise internal and external customers on inspection requirements and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with CBA rules and maintain proper labor‑relations practices
  • Manage inspection flow, priorities, and metrics to support production schedules and quality objectives
  • Manage inspection equipment, materials, and resources across Receiving, Mechanical, and Electrical Inspection/Test areas
  • Perform and support audits including internal QC audits, customer/government assessments, and continuous improvement projects
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within inspection operations
  • Represent management in factory and staff meetings as required
  • Support problem‑solving and RCCA activities for internal and external quality issues
  • Interpret drawings and MICs to support inspection planning and execution
  • Support Receiving, In‑Process, and Final Inspection across multiple programs
  • Effectively supervises employees, providing guidance and corrective direction as needed, while navigating difficult employee situations with sound judgment and professionalism.
