Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Significant experience inspecting a variety of parts using standard measuring tools and specialized gauging required.
  • Familiarity with operating a CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) required.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, customer specifications and instructions.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to provide constructive feedback in a respectful and supportive manner, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified quality technician or technical/ vocational training in machining or manufacturing is preferred.
  • Experience in a CNC Machine Shop preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect a variety of parts using standard measuring and test equipment, as well as specialized gauging.
  • Ensure all inspections align with customer specifications, internal quality standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Support calibration of inspection tools and equipment to ensure accuracy and functionality.
  • Support evaluations to ensure suppliers meet specified quality standards.
  • Input inspection results into the ERP system for accepted and rejected parts.
  • Verify the quantities of materials and hardware listed on the route sheet throughout the production process.
  • Ensure all inspection results are accurately recorded and documented in the QA system.
  • Review vendor-supplied documentation for completeness and compliance.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and quality outcomes.
  • Support development and delivery of training programs for team members on quality standards, inspection tools, and processes.
  • Support internal and external quality audits as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
