Requirements

An associate degree in a related field, or equivalent experience in quality and supervision.
At least five years of experience in dimensional inspection and CMM programming.
Solid working knowledge of GD&T per ANSI Y14.5.
Demonstrated leadership ability in managing technical teams, mentoring, coaching, and communicating effectively.
Experience staffing and developing personnel within a technical or manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge of SPC and quality tools.
Strong communication skills across all levels of the organization.
The ability to obtain a DOE Q‑level security clearance.

Nice To Haves

Experience programming and operating Zeiss CMMs using Calypso software.
Background in high‑precision metal forming, machining, or finishing processes.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of dimensional inspectors, ensuring high‑quality product inspections and accurate release decisions.
Coordinate cross‑functional inspection activities.
Verify documentation and certifications.
Maintain data accuracy within ERP systems.
Oversee CMM calibration and performance.
Guide inspectors in managing nonconforming conditions and corrective actions.
Support ongoing training and development for the team.
Drive quality improvement initiatives.
Identify opportunities to streamline inspection processes.
Participate in audits.
Maintain strict adherence to safety and quality management system requirements.
