About The Position

The Dimensional Control Technician reports to the QA/QC Manager and is responsible for performing surveys of fabricated and erected components throughout the construction lifecycle, including loadout. The technician will create and distribute reports to the Project Team and Client detailing the results of each survey. This role requires operating effectively within a survey team with minimum supervision and performing duties within all aspects of Dimensional Control. The technician will prepare survey drawings and reports using Auto-Cad, Excel, and Word, and perform and check surveys of fabrication components, piping spools, and other construction components as required. The role involves working out of mobile equipment such as manlifts and at various heights, directing/performing simple DC surveys and projects, and liaising with the Project Team and client representatives to draft and check project final reports.

Requirements

Experienced with various forms of survey technology including Metrology, 3-D Calculation, and Drawing software
Ability to execute most tasks including surveying, calculations, drawings, and related survey reports
Competent in operating a Total-station
Must be comfortable in written and oral communication skills and well organized
Mid-level knowledge of AutoCAD, Excel, and Word

Nice To Haves

High School diploma, GED or equivalent work related experience
