About The Position

As part of Ford's Manufacturing team, you will help build world-class, state-of-the-art smart vehicles. This role involves leveraging advanced, innovative modeling programs and techniques to optimize overall manufacturing processes. You will lead the development of tolerance analysis and vehicle program support work plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, mathematics, or related.
• 3 or more years of dimensional control experience

Nice To Haves

• Production experience in the manufacture or assembly of vehicle systems (body, trim, and chassis)
• Experience developing and analyzing GD&T
• Expertise in developing and analyzing locating strategies for body, trim, and chassis systems
• Experience with CAD systems and different metrology equipment (CMM, scanner, perceptron, vision)
• Background performing finite element analysis (FEA)
• Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Lead tolerance analysis modeling and reporting
• Lead technicians in the metrology lab and factory floor executing the control plan
• Drive improvements in Pp/PpK from the tools and supplier parts
• Provide geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) support
• Support appearance and functional dimensional issue resolution
• Support related dimensional control elements (locators, checking fixtures, etc.) as needed
