About The Position

ExxonMobil is seeking a Diluent Optimization Lead to join their team. This role involves surveillance, reporting, and stewardship of injected and reproduced diluent, as well as process performance monitoring. The lead will manage databases and dashboards for business insights, contribute to accounting processes, and align with the Development team on future opportunities. The position also requires expertise in fluid composition analysis, including pad vs. plant methodologies and the evolution of estimation techniques. Additionally, the role involves heavy oil reservoir skills, analyzing diluent processes within the reservoir, and trialing alternatives. An external interface with industry consortia and other operators is also part of the responsibilities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required - preferably Petroleum, Chemical, or Mechanical
Experience in fluid sampling and analysis
Experience in reservoir fluid property analysis
Skilled in data management, quality control, and presentation
Strong communication skills to enable effective team collaboration and upline stewardship

Responsibilities

Surveillance and reporting of injected and reproduced diluent
Surveillance of process performance
Funding actions and investment reappraisals
Regular stewardship to management on business results
Manage databases and dashboards to support quick business insights built on sound data
Inputs into accounting processes
Alignment with Development team on future opportunities
Reproduced Diluent analysis – pad vs plant methodologies, samples vs density models, evolution of techniques to improve estimates
Analysis of diluent processes in the reservoir
Trial alternatives
External interface with industry consortia and other operators
