About The Position

Tucker Ellis seeks a Digital Workplace Analyst to lead the firm's modernization of internal collaboration, automation, and business application tooling. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer, this individual contributor role will own the firm's SharePoint Online environment, expand Power Platform automation, and provide ongoing support for a portfolio of legacy intranet, database, and finance-adjacent tools during a planned migration to Microsoft 365. This is a hands-on role for someone who is energized by both building new SharePoint experiences and stabilizing the systems that keep daily operations running. The successful candidate will inherit responsibilities from a long-tenured analyst preparing to retire and will be expected to assess, document, and modernize that portfolio over time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related fields, such as accounting, software development, business analytics, information systems, computer science, or a comparable discipline.
  • 4–7 years of professional experience in a business applications, SharePoint, or M365 administrator role.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience administering SharePoint Online, including site design, permissions, and content migration.
  • Working proficiency with Power Automate and Power Apps, including building and maintaining production flows and canvas apps.
  • Proficiency with HTML, CSS, and Java Script sufficient to maintain and update existing intranet pages.
  • Experience administering low-code database tools such as QuickBase, and working knowledge of Microsoft Access.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate end-user needs into technical solutions.
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while collaborating effectively across departments.
  • Commitment to thorough documentation, knowledge sharing, and reducing single-points-of-failure in operational processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting a professional services firm, ideally a law firm.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint Framework (SPFx), PnP PowerShell, or other SharePoint development tooling.
  • Experience with ASP.NET, classic .NET applications, or SQL Server sufficient to support legacy applications during a transition period.
  • Experience with FTP/SFTP automation and bank file processing such as Positive Pay.
  • Familiarity with Aderant, Elite, or comparable legal/accounting systems and their reporting outputs.

Responsibilities

  • Administer the firm's SharePoint Online environment, including site architecture, permissions, navigation, and content lifecycle.
  • Partner with business stakeholders (HR, Information Governance, IT, Marketing, EDI, Tech Training, and others) to design, build, and improve their SharePoint sites.
  • Lead modernization of legacy intranet content and on-premises file shares into SharePoint and Microsoft 365 within the first six months.
  • Develop and enforce SharePoint governance standards, including naming conventions, permission models, and content review cycles.
  • Train and support site owners and content contributors so they can self-manage their content where appropriate.
  • Maintain and enhance existing Power Automate flows, including 3rdparty financial data processing, task automation, file transfer, and voicemail/fax routing by office (approximately 18 flows).
  • Maintain and extend Power Apps used by the firm.
  • Identify opportunities to replace manual processes with Power Automate or Power Apps solutions, particularly during the M365 migration.
  • Document flow ownership, dependencies, and recovery procedures so processes are not tied to any single person.
  • Maintain the firm's existing intranet, including HTML/CSS/JavaScript updates for menus, office phone lists, practice group listings, event photo galleries, and staff directory images.
  • Manage the office pictorial directory and staff image library, ensuring images are properly sized and named per firm standards.
  • Plan and execute the migration of intranet content into SharePoint as part of the broader M365 modernization effort.
  • Administer QuickBase databases, including user-facing data updates, schema changes, login activity monitoring, and monthly backups.
  • Support Microsoft Access databases and other end-user database tools as needed.
  • Maintain a portfolio of legacy ASP.NET applications during their remaining lifecycle, coordinating with internal subject matter experts on day-to-day questions.
  • Support scheduled processes currently running under the predecessor's service account, transitioning them to appropriate service accounts.
  • Develop and execute a recommended retirement, replacement, or migration plan for each legacy application in partnership with the CIO.

Benefits

  • Equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
  • Celebration of diversity and dedication to fostering an inclusive workplace for all.
