The Digital Solution Engineer – Cloud & AI Infrastructure is a technical sales role supporting nonprofit customers. The position helps customers design secure, scalable, resilient, compliant, and sovereign cloud architectures for modernization and Frontier AI transformation. The engineer advises technical and business stakeholders, translates technical capabilities into business outcomes, and guides customers toward Azure solutions and deployments.

The role focuses on modernizing customers’ platform estates—including hardware, software, applications, databases, security, and networking—and migrating core workloads such as Windows, Linux, and Oracle to Azure. It also supports modernization through the 6R strategy, containerization, Azure-native services such as AKS, and AI tools including Azure Copilot, GitHub Copilot, and Agentic Assessment. The engineer designs hybrid and cloud-native networking solutions, including virtual networks, VPNs, secure routing, and partner solutions. The position offers opportunities to develop technical and business skills and includes flexible work opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field and at least 2 years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with cloud, hybrid, or on-premises infrastructure, architecture design, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology management.
• Proven cloud infrastructure experience, including migration of workloads such as Windows, Linux, and virtual machines.
• Experience designing or selling solutions involving hybrid networking, secure connectivity, or network performance optimization in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with GitHub Copilot, agentic tooling, Windows Server, Linux, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Container Apps, and Defender for Cloud.
• Understanding of Azure services, including networking, security, compliance, and hybrid cloud scenarios.
• Ability to lead technical engagements, such as prototyping, pilots, and proofs of concept, that drive production-scale outcomes.
• Familiarity with enterprise platforms such as SAP and Oracle and ISVs such as NetApp, VMware, and Red Hat.
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, and public sector compliance standards.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field and at least 5 years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience, or equivalent experience.
• Certification in relevant Microsoft or industry technologies or disciplines, such as Microsoft Office 365, Power BI, Azure Architect and Development exams, cloud platform technologies, information security, or architecture.

Responsibilities

• Lead Platform Estate modernization and Sovereign Cloud customer engagements.
• Conduct technical workshops using live demonstrations, customer whiteboarding and architecture co-creation, rapid prototyping, proofs of concept, and pilots to resolve technical blockers.
• Prove technical solutions and co-create or reuse existing architectures to influence solution design and enable customer commitment to deployments.
• Maintain deep expertise in cloud migration for Windows, Linux, and application workloads, as well as resiliency, security, and compliance.
• Apply knowledge of major enterprise applications, including SAP, Oracle, and VMware.
