The Senior Digital Solution Engineer will work with education customers in a technical sales role focused on cloud databases and analytics. The role helps enterprises design secure, scalable, and resilient architectures for business-critical applications and AI transformation, and advises customers on Azure database and analytics deployments. The engineer leads technical engagements, influences customer technical decisions, and supports migration and modernization from solution design through production deployment.

The position calls for expertise in Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, Azure Databricks, and Azure database services such as SQL DB, Cosmos DB, DocumentDB, and PostgreSQL. It also involves building knowledge of on-premises enterprise data warehouses, Hadoop, and BI solutions. The role offers opportunities to develop business acumen, technical skills, and solution design and deployment capabilities, with flexible work opportunities mentioned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field and 4 or more years of technical presales or technical consulting experience, or equivalent experience.
• Expertise in Azure Databases, including SQL DB, Cosmos DB, DocumentDB, and PostgreSQL, for migration and modernization.
• Expertise in Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, Azure Databricks, and competing platforms such as BigQuery, Redshift, and Snowflake, across data warehouse, data lake, big data, analytics, real-time intelligence, and reporting, using integrated data security and governance.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical engagements such as prototyping, pilots, and proofs of concept that drive production-scale outcomes.
• Familiarity with database technologies such as ETL, data warehousing, and reporting.
• Proficiency in data warehouse and big data migration, including on-premises appliances such as Teradata, Netezza, and Oracle; Hadoop platforms such as Cloudera and Hortonworks; and Azure Synapse Gen2.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field and 8 or more years of technical presales or technical consulting experience, or equivalent experience.
• 4 or more years of experience with cloud, hybrid, or on-premises infrastructure, architecture design, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology management.
• Certification in relevant Microsoft or industry technologies or disciplines, such as Microsoft Office 365, Power BI, Azure Administrator, Architecture or Development exams, cloud platform technologies, information security, or architecture.

Responsibilities

• Lead Databases & Analytics customer engagements.
• Drive technical sales with decision makers using demonstrations and proofs of concept to influence solution design and enable production deployments.
• Lead technical workshops using live demonstrations, customer co-creation, whiteboarding and architecture design, rapid prototyping, hands-on proofs of concept, and pilots to resolve technical blockers.
• Prove technical solutions and co-create or reuse existing architecture to influence solution design and enable customer commitment to deployments.
• Maintain deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, Azure Databricks, and Azure Databases including SQL DB, Cosmos DB, and PostgreSQL.
• Deepen knowledge of on-premises enterprise data warehouse technologies, including Teradata, Netezza, and Exadata, as well as Hadoop and BI solutions.
• Advise customers on secure, scalable solution design and help accelerate database and analytics migration into deployment workflows.
