About The Position

Under the direct supervision of the Dean of Graduate Studies, this student role will support the creation and engagement of content for social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn. The primary goal is to promote graduate programs, departmental events, and achievements. Key duties involve scheduling posts, monitoring interactions, and responding professionally to comments. The position also requires basic graphic design tasks using tools like Adobe Creative Suite to produce visually appealing content. Collaboration with faculty, staff, and student groups is essential for gathering content and supporting joint digital campaigns.

Requirements

  • Read and write English at a level appropriate to the position
  • Admission or registration as a CSU student
  • Maintain a 2.0 G.P.A. or greater per semester and cumulative
  • Students must be enrolled in at least halftime units at CSUSB (6 units undergraduate; 3 units graduate)
  • International students must have full-time enrollment at CSUSB (12 units undergraduate; 6 units graduate)
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License may be required
  • Must reside in the State of California

Responsibilities

  • Support OGS staff in creating and managing Social Media Content
  • Develop and post content across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn, including text, pictures, and videos.
  • Support OGS staff in creation of visually appealing graphics and videos using Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Assist with design images, video content, and layouts that enhance engagement and effectively communicate the intended message.
  • Assist OGS staff in Staying Updated on Social Media Trends
  • Incorporate innovative strategies to keep content fresh and relevant.
  • Schedule posts to maintain a consistent presence on social media.
  • Monitor interactions, engage with the audience, and respond to comments professionally.
  • Work with various stakeholders to gather content and support digital campaigns.
  • Coordinate efforts to ensure content reflects diverse perspectives and initiatives.
