The Digital Services Assistant supports the Digital Services Department in completing all stages of the digitization process and fulfilling the Department's mission. Duties include handling rare items that may be delicate and irreplaceable, scanning text and images of analog materials utilizing various scanners, correcting and enhancing digital work using Photoshop, transcribing text and formatting text documents, documenting provenance notes while scanning, and completing other duties as assigned. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel & Word
  • Basic proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, and Scanning equipment
