About The Position

GoEngineer is a provider of the most compelling design platforms in the industry, deploying engineering software and 3D Printing technology to make the design process innovative, efficient, and intelligent. GoEngineer is looking for a CAM Account Exec to join our team. The CAM Account Exec is a consultative, customer-facing sales role focused on building relationships, understanding customer needs, and guiding prospects and existing customers through the evaluation and purchase process. The ideal candidate brings outside sales experience, strong communication and follow-through, and the curiosity to learn enough of the technical side to confidently connect with manufacturing teams. This role is fast-paced and uniquely time-constrained, supporting a high volume of customers with limited time, so organization, urgency, and the ability to "close" effectively are essential.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in outside sales, account management, or business development, with a track record of closing new business.
  • Ability to learn and confidently sell technical solutions, connecting product capabilities to customer needs in manufacturing/commercial environments.
  • Strong customer-facing communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to ask for next steps and effectively "close" at the end of meetings.
  • Highly organized and responsive in a fast-paced environment, able to manage a high volume of accounts and opportunities with limited time.
  • Comfortable using CRM tools to manage pipeline, activity, and forecasting; able to maintain accurate, timely account and opportunity data.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed for customer meetings and regional coverage.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Customer & Prospect Management: Manage a high-volume book of business in a fast-paced, time-constrained environment, prioritizing activities to maximize customer impact and revenue.
  • New Business Development: Prospect, qualify, and develop new opportunities for CAM solutions through outbound outreach, referrals, and targeted account penetration.
  • Consultative Selling: Lead discovery conversations to understand customer manufacturing workflows and pain points, connecting technical requirements to the right CAM solution.
  • Sales Process Ownership: Drive opportunities from initial contact through close—building value, addressing objections, and confidently asking for the business.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams: Partner with technical resources and internal stakeholders to align on solution approach, scope, and customer expectations.
  • Customer Meetings & Presentations: Conduct customer-facing meetings (virtual and in-person as needed) to present recommendations and move deals forward.
  • Pipeline & Forecast Discipline: Maintain accurate opportunity tracking, notes, and next steps in the CRM, providing clear visibility into pipeline health and forecast.
  • Customer Experience & Retention: Build trusted relationships that support renewals, expansion, and long-term satisfaction across a broad set of CAM customers.
