About The Position
As a Digital Reporter, you'll be responsible for capturing and preserving verbatim records of depositions and other judicial proceedings. Whether in-person or remote, you'll use specialized recording software and hardware to produce high-quality audio/video documentation. You’ll also administer oaths, create detailed annotations for transcription, and ensure smooth and professional proceedings. This is a vital position where you'll ensure accurate audio capture and maintain control of judicial proceedings.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent problem-solving skills under pressure
- Ability to obtain a Notary Public license
- Ability to obtain AAERT's Certified Electronic Reporter (CER) certification
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Touch typing (minimum 60 wpm with accuracy)
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a national criminal background check
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with court procedures, legal terminology, and digital recording technology
- Associate’s degree in legal studies, communications, or audio/visual technology
