As a Digital Reporter, you'll be responsible for capturing and preserving verbatim records of depositions and other judicial proceedings. Whether in-person or remote, you'll use specialized recording software and hardware to produce high-quality audio/video documentation. You’ll also administer oaths, create detailed annotations for transcription, and ensure smooth and professional proceedings.

Touch typing (minimum 60 wpm with accuracy)

Valid driver’s license
Reliable transportation
Ability to pass a national criminal background check
Ability to obtain a Notary Public license
Ability to obtain AAERT's Certified Electronic Reporter (CER) certification

Associate’s degree in legal studies, communications, or audio/visual technology

Responsibilities

Accurately record legal proceedings using advanced audio/video equipment
Administer oaths and maintain control as an independent authority
Annotate essential testimony for transcription and playback as needed
Manage and secure exhibits, backup files, and complete job-specific worksheets
Maintain professionalism and build effective relationships with clients and legal professionals
Perform timely preparation for assignments and respond to communications efficiently
